SNOWENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day turned into a snow/ice day -- we could not leave our house as Delaware County was under a level 3 snow emergency. Although I am sure we could safely make it to work, I did abide by the law and stayed home. After a afternoon conference call, I ventured out to check things out. The driveway was completely covered since there has been no traffic since Wildlife Solutions came out to capture our racoon friend. I used my car as a snowplow driving up and down the driveway 52 times b/c I am too cheap to spend $100 on a plow job.

Introducing Mr Thomas Jefferson

After a long afternoon at my Mom's house, we came home to this little man injured in our garage. Heather came over to help us capture him and then were off to see Dr. Levan. Although we were hopeful this was our long lost Emma, turns out it is a Tom cat---therefore Thomas Jefferson is his name. He will be rehydrated and checked out tomorrow. Likely have surgery to debride his wounds and potentially amputate a digit. Hopefully he will make it through...here he is....
